JoAnne, who lives in Jackson, Georgia stopped by the KFC drive thru to get a chicken sandwich. After she got her order, she checked her bag to make sure everything was right. When she did that she found $500 in cash under her sandwich!

Turns out, the money was the restaurant’s daily deposit, and the cash had been accidentally placed in the bag. (I reallly wonder how this even happen).

The Jackson, Georgia Police Department said “Not only did JoAnne do the right thing, but she saved the manager’s job. Thank you for reminding us that we have amazing citizens in Jackson and it’s people like you that make us great!”

To repay her, KFC gave her a free lunch. BUT here’s JoAnne’s side of the story… JoAnne could have really used that money. Her husband is dealing with cancer, and the family has over $2 Million in medical bills. JoAnne said, “If you don’t do the right thing it’s gonna come back on you. I mean it wasn’t mine. I didn’t need to keep it. I’ll get mine in the future.”
