This is the last Lunar Eclipse of the year… Actually the last for another three years! Unlike a Solar Eclipse, this one is okay to look at (you won’t blind yourself staring at the moon).

The Beaver moon (full moon for November) will pass through the earth’s shadow for about three and a half hours. Here’s the full rundown:

Eastern Time

Partial Umbral Eclipse begins at 4:09am – The moon enters the earth’s shadow

Total Lunar Eclipse begins at 5:16am – The moon turns dark orange or red

Greatest Eclipse begins at 5:59am – The Mid point of the eclipse

Total Lunar Eclipse ends at 6:41am – The moon begins to leave the shadow as it sets in the West
