The Super Bowl will be played Sunday and most of us have been planning our Super Bowl Snacks. Here’s a fun fact to serve up if you’re serving nachos:
Did you know nachos were invented by accident in Mexico, at a restaurant called Victory Club? Back in 1943, Chef Ignacio “Nacho” Anaya needed to feed a group of military wives who had arrived in his restaurant without warning, but couldn’t find any food in the kitchen. In desperation, he melted cheese on some tortillas and sprinkled it with peppers. It was an instant hit – and the legend was born!
