Waking up in the middle of the night is a pain, but not being able to fall back asleep only makes it worse!
Sleep experts recommend trying these tricks to get you back to sleep without the help of sleeping pills:
- Sniff some lavender! Try three deep whiffs over a 30 minute period (but let’s hope it doesn’t take you longer than 30 minutes to fall back asleep)
- Turn down your thermostat! For the best sleep, your bedroom temperature should between 60 and 68 degreese.
- Turn off your devices! Don’t scroll through your phone or look at a screen right before you go to bed. Avoid the light that zaps your melatonin receptors.
