Tomorrow is Veteran’s Day. A day to honor and thank all who have served and all who are currently serving us in the military. Thank you for all of your service.
We’ve all heard the stats… service people coming home with PTSD and Veteran suicide running rampant. Nobody deserves our support more than our Veterans.
Here’s a 34 year old Marine Corps Veteran, Corporal Cole Lyle. He came back from combat with serious PTSD and was issued a service dog. Corporal Lyle says his service dog has saved his life “on multiple occasions.” He said “If she wasn’t there, I don’t know that I would be here.”
Kaya, his service dog, sadly died of cancer earlier this year. In honor of her memory, he launched a nonprofit, Kaya’s K9s, which pays for critical and emergency veterinary care for veteran’s service dogs.
“What I’m trying to do is save the dogs and heal the dogs that are serving veterans, ultimately, because I want these dogs in the fight – to continue to prevent veteran suicide.”
