Timucuan Parks Foundation and the National Park Service are hosting a Hike into History at Cedar Point to celebrate the 30th annual National Trails Day on Saturday, June 4. The hike will begin at 8 a.m. at the Horseshoe Creek Trailhead at 9023 Cedar Point Rd. and will last until approximately 11:30 a.m. Throughout the hike, a park ranger will highlight the history and natural resources of Cedar Point. Hikers will visit the boat ramp, the Fitzpatrick Ruins and the 7 Creeks Trail bridge.

The hike is open to all ages. It will be about three miles and will be on natural unpaved flat trails. Hikers are asked to wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. It is also recommended to bring sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, sunglasses and a full reusable water bottle. Timucuan Parks Foundation will provide additional water and granola bar snacks. Please, no pets on this interpretive hike.
