You know those movies where a pilot is flying a plane and suddenly has a medical emergency and it’s up to a passenger to safely land the plane.
Yea, no way that ever happens in real life…. until yesterday!
A pilot and a passenger are in a small plane when all of a sudden the pilot had a medical emergency and was totally knocked out.
The passenger takes the steering wheel and calls air traffic control. The air traffic controllers ask where the guy is and he says “I see the coast of Florida.” They asked him a couple other questions and he kept saying “I have no idea”. The self appointed pilot stayed calm the entire time as the air traffic controller talked him through where to go and how to land!
The landing was close to professional and everyone walked away safe.
I want that guy on my next flight!
