You’ve probably heard the story, a young man thought he was texting one of his buddies, but messed up the number and ended up texting a stranger. Who hasn’t done that!
In this case, the person who got the text ended up inviting the young man over for Thanksgiving dinner. He went and now has returned every Thanksgiving for the last 6 years!
It’s a really good, heartfelt story!
Now, that story is headed to the big screen! Jamal and Wanda, who first met in 2016 through an accidental text message, are partnering with Netflix to do a movie about the whole thing!
It’ll be called The Thanksgiving Text. They said, “We are excited to share our story with the world! We hope it inspires more people to reach out and make connections that they wouldn’t ordinarily make. We are so blessed to find a genuine friendship brought together by God from a mistaken text message.”
