Whether you’re a soccer player or fan, chances are you know that the USA Women’s Soccer team is pretty good… they’ve won multiple world cups, multiple Olympic Gold Medals and even won a massive law suit over equal pay.
They have proven when you’re good, you’re good, no matter your gender and you deserve to be paid accordingly. They did this through consistently being the best in the sport. Now, one of the pioneering women has been left off the US Olympic Team.
Alex Morgan will not be playing for this years gold medal. The coach said she certainly loves and respects Alex, but the time has come.
So how did Alex react to being left off the team? She said “In less than a month, I look forward to supporting this team and cheering them on alongside the rest of our country.”
That is a powerful picture of sportsmanship!
