Get rid of the premium cable package – Can save as much as $200. You can probably see everything you need to see on free services or low cost ones…and what…really…do we need to see?
A large data plan on your internet – Look at what your actual usage is. Likely it’s a lot less than you think
Multiple Streaming services – Back when you signed up for that streaming service it was really reasonable. Since then they have hiked their prices about 14 times. Take a look at your bill. Then choose the one that you watch most and cancel the rest
Landline phone – It used to be necessary. Cell phone coverage was not all that great, emergency services had a hard time interfacing with cell phones…all that is no longer relevant…kinda like that landline phone
Storage Unit – Take a look at what’s in your storage unit. Do you need it? When’s the last time you used it? What are you storing at home that can be let go and allow you to store that at home? Be dispassionate about it. What do you really need?
Take them all together and you may save 5 to 7 thousand dollars a year. Put that in savings or in your retirement account and watch it grow.
